I've been planning a similar site with a friend for a few months but it never got out of planning. He decided to take a break for a while, so I decided to use our second domain and make a site based off of the idea and see where it leads. I was unemployed last week, so I've had some free time.
Right now, I'll admit the content is lacking.
I started making the site about 7 days ago. All photos/graphics/content/design are homegrown. The site itself is a modified wordpress install with a few plugins. I plan on getting more content in this week.
The goal is to have an easy to navigate tech site geared toward people who have an interest in technology, but need some simple information to get started and continue learning. The primary idea for the whole thing came about when my sister asked me how she can learn enough to "not to sound stupid" in tech conversations.
