I was curious so I managed to see the last episode of the second season. It was pretty good. I also read about the second season and can see how it was a "start from the beginning" type of sequel... even though really it's more like Sora trying to move to uncharted next level of performing.
I also watched the last two non-licensed OVAs.
The primary OVA (eg. the 2 of 3) was a full 50 minutes and pretty much a conclusion to appease the fans of the show. Layla and Sora both had a show (Layla being on Broadway). They both planned to do Phoenix rising from the ashes skit, which eventually they both managed unsurprisingly. Most of the show was about Layla trying to figure out how to break out of her rut with a large dash of female-female love.
The 3rd OVA was pretty pointless. Basically a few goofy 3d-rendered skits and an extremely long 3d-rendered opening theme that I skipped over.
My major regret of the whole Kaleido Star universe is Ken not even getting Sora to figure out he liked her in *that* way. The closest it came was her asking Ken if he wanted to rise out of the ashes with her (to be a part of her skit), but he said he already had his dream come true and continue to come true [in her] (or something like that). The way things are going Ken... chances are that new guy will make a move before you! Poor Ken.....
That was cut short when the magazine stopped being published.
It takes place 15 years after the TV show where Sora's younger sister goes to Kaleido Stage to find out what happened to her sister (she never visits Japan or something...).
Someone on there has a quote that mentions Sora being married to Leon, but the last posting says it's a lie. I'd like to find some scans of that manga...... Hopefully it is, as I don't want to see Sora marrying some French-y punk! haha
I have the second season. Haven't seen the OVAs yet though.
Yeah. Leon total punk.
Kindof curious about that sequel manga. I mean, I know Sora gets wrapped up in herself a lot, but I find it hard to believe that she would never come back and visit. 0o;

It looks like people are mixing up a fanfic and that manga. The Leon thing seems to be part of the fanfic. The manga seems pretty difficult to find. even if I could it doesn't look like it was fully translated.
